What You’ll Do
We are building out the GTM Finance team and looking for a Finance Manager to own the financial view of Brex's existing business, the largest and most strategically important part of our revenue engine. This role is the dedicated Finance business partner for our Client Sales teams, Customer Success, Account Management, Relationship Management, and Banking teams, and owns the full financial picture of a customer's lifetime value. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility seat at the center of Brex's revenue story. You will partner directly with post-sales leadership to set expansion targets and build the models that drive retention and growth decisions. You will support these leaders by developing and implementing data-driven and high-impact initiatives aimed at driving growth, improving efficiency, and increasing profitability, while serving as a connective tissue within the business. You will bring both the financial and commercial point of view, and need to embrace challenges and structure complex problems. This role will involve high exposure to Executive Leadership, as you will regularly deliver analysis and recommendations directly to the Leadership team and participate in the narrative and analysis for the Board of Directors and other investors.
Responsibilities
- Own the existing business revenue forecast by segment and cohort; track actuals against plan, surface variance drivers early, and maintain a forward-looking view of NRR, GMV NR, and churn
- Build and maintain the LTV:CAC and payback period model, connecting what we spend to acquire a customer to what that customer is worth over their lifetime, including identifying and implementing strategies to improve CAC and CAC Paybacks
- Lead financial planning for post-sales teams, including target setting, capacity modeling, book coverage analysis, and budget management
- Develop cohort-level expansion and churn analysis; understand what drives revenue performance post-activation and feed findings back into the forward plan
- Build and own renewal economics models: evaluate pricing strategies for existing cohorts and quantify the revenue impact of renewal optimization decisions
- Prepare and deliver management presentations for Leadership to analyze results and present forecasts
- Build narratives that describe business strategy and performance, assess business risk and operating health, and align cross-functional teams to effective solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant financial experience working directly with GTM teams, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility at a high-growth tech company
- Enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, and scale the impact of a lean team
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data
- Comfortable interacting with internal and external senior-level executives
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven success partnering and collaborating across various functions
- A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
- A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
- A bias toward proactive insight over reactive reporting
- Ability to operate independently, build structure in ambiguous environments, and prioritize effectively
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $137,000-$154,000 USD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Which companies sponsor visas for finance managers in Utah?
Utah employers with a track record of sponsoring finance professionals include Zions Bancorporation, Goldman Sachs (which has a significant Salt Lake City presence), Qualtrics, Domo, and larger healthcare organizations like Intermountain Health. National employers with Utah offices that regularly file H-1B petitions for finance roles are generally the most reliable starting point, as smaller firms sponsor less frequently.
Which visa types are most common for finance manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance managers in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1 visas through intracompany transfers are another segment that moves into finance manager positions. Australians may also find the E-3 visa a viable path with Utah-based employers.
Which cities in Utah have the most finance manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the large majority of finance manager sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of banking, financial services, and corporate headquarters. Lehi and Provo, part of the Silicon Slopes tech corridor, are growing sources of demand from technology companies that need finance managers to support rapid scaling. Ogden sees more limited but consistent activity tied to manufacturing and logistics employers.
How to find finance manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse finance manager openings in Utah without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role to surface positions at Utah employers actively seeking candidates who require visa support, which saves significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered postings across general job boards.
Are there state-specific factors that affect finance manager sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's university system, particularly the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business and Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business, produces a strong local finance talent pipeline. This means international candidates benefit most from targeting employers in high-growth sectors, like fintech and SaaS companies in Silicon Slopes, where specialized financial expertise may be harder to source domestically and sponsorship willingness is comparatively higher.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
