Which companies sponsor visas for finance managers in Florida?
Large financial institutions and multinational corporations account for most finance manager sponsorships in Florida. Citigroup, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo have active operations in Miami and Tampa with histories of H-1B visa filings for finance roles. Carnival Corporation, World Fuel Services, and Ryder System are notable non-bank Florida employers that have sponsored finance managers. Regional investment firms and insurance companies also sponsor, though less frequently than major national employers.
Which visa types are most common for finance manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance managers in Florida, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and processes faster. Senior or internationally recognized finance professionals may also qualify for the O-1 visa.
How to find finance manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters finance manager roles in Florida by visa sponsorship willingness, saving you from manually screening hundreds of listings. You can browse positions across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando by visa type. Because employers on Migrate Mate are already flagged as sponsorship-open, it reduces the friction of reaching out blind to companies that don't sponsor.
Which cities in Florida have the most finance manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami is Florida's dominant hub for finance manager sponsorships, driven by its concentration of international banks, private equity firms, and Latin American regional headquarters. Tampa has grown significantly, particularly in insurance, healthcare finance, and corporate treasury roles. Orlando attracts finance managers in hospitality, real estate, and tech-adjacent companies. Jacksonville, home to several large financial services back-office operations, also generates consistent demand for finance managers.
Are there state-specific factors finance managers should know before pursuing sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which can influence how total compensation compares to offers in states like California or New York, though employers still file Labor Condition Applications pegged to Department of Labor prevailing wage levels for the specific metro area. Miami's finance sector has a pronounced international character, meaning bilingual candidates with Spanish or Portuguese skills are particularly competitive. Florida's large university system, including University of Florida and University of Miami, also produces finance graduates who network with regional employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
