Responsibilities
- Prioritizing comfort while assisting Residents in achieving their highest level of function
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Monitoring vital signs to include temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure
- Maintaining a safe environment and assisting with fall-risk precautions
- Interdepartmental communications within care team
- Prepare residents for meals. Assist residents in eating as needed. Utilize restorative techniques to promote resident independence and highest functional level
- Record progress in the Restorative Record. Read and follow daily care plans; report changes in resident condition to Nurse in charge; document care provision on residents record/flow sheets as required and report accidents and incidents
- Monitor restorative equipment for quantity, quality, and cleanliness
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a Certified Nursing assistant in good standing with the State and maintain certification throughout employment with Avalon
- Meet State and federal requirements, generally 12 hours, in service education
- Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
- Recent education or clinical hours are required.
- You need to be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry
