Which companies sponsor visas for sales roles in Utah?
Technology companies in Utah's Silicon Slopes are among the most active sponsors for sales roles. Adobe, Qualtrics, Domo, and Pluralsight have each filed Labor Condition Applications for sales positions in recent years. Enterprise software and SaaS companies in the Salt Lake City and Provo areas tend to sponsor more frequently than traditional retail or insurance employers, reflecting the sector's demand for specialized international talent.
Which visa types are most common for sales roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for sales professionals in Utah, but it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree in a specific field must be a standard requirement for the position. Enterprise sales roles tied to technical products, such as software or medical devices, are more likely to meet that standard than general account executive positions. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens in certain qualifying sales roles.
Which cities in Utah have the most sales sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of sponsored sales roles in Utah, followed closely by Provo and Lehi, which form the core of the Silicon Slopes tech corridor. Ogden and St. George have smaller but growing commercial sectors. For international candidates, focusing on the Salt Lake City metropolitan area and the Provo-Lehi stretch offers the highest concentration of employers with established visa sponsorship infrastructure.
How to find sales visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters sales jobs in Utah by visa sponsorship, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unavailable. You can browse current openings across Salt Lake City, Provo, and the broader Silicon Slopes region in one place. Focusing your search on technology and SaaS companies in those corridors will give you the strongest pool of employers with active sponsorship history.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B sales roles are determined by the Department of Labor and vary by job title and county, with Salt Lake County generally carrying higher benchmarks than rural areas. Utah's heavy concentration of SaaS and enterprise software companies also means many sponsored sales roles involve technical product lines, so candidates with backgrounds in software, data, or cloud solutions are better positioned. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University supply local hiring pipelines, but international graduates on OPT actively compete for the same roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
