- Capture and document learnings, processes, and results to support program scalability and continuous improvement.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, consulting, or cross-functional program management, with a track record of navigating ambiguity across varied projects.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability—you proactively identify what needs to be done and reliably follow through.
- Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset—you enjoy tackling new challenges, asking insightful questions, and quickly learning new domains.
- Solid analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and the ability to structure data and form clear, data-backed perspectives.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build trust across diverse teams—from technical partners to creative and brand stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple workstreams while adapting to changing priorities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Broad exposure to multiple marketing disciplines (e.g., CRM, digital, customer experience, field marketing, media), with a willingness to learn beyond your core expertise.

Which companies sponsor visas for customer program managers in Virginia?
Federal contractors and technology firms lead sponsorship activity for customer program managers in Virginia. Companies like Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos, SAIC, Accenture Federal Services, and Amazon Web Services have consistent H-1B visa filing histories for program management roles. Consulting firms serving government agencies in the Northern Virginia corridor also sponsor regularly, particularly for roles tied to large multi-year contracts.
Which visa types are most common for customer program manager roles in Virginia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for customer program managers in Virginia, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1B visas apply when candidates transfer intracompany with specialized knowledge of a client program. TN visa status covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles under the USMCA agreement.
How to find customer program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse customer program manager roles in Virginia without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from federal contractors, technology companies, and consulting firms across the Northern Virginia and Richmond markets, which are the two densest hiring areas for this role in the state.
Which cities in Virginia have the most customer program manager sponsorship jobs?
Northern Virginia, particularly Tysons, Reston, and Arlington, holds the largest concentration of customer program manager positions in the state due to proximity to federal agencies and major tech campuses. Richmond is a secondary market with activity in financial services and healthcare program management. McLean also appears frequently given its density of consulting and defense firm headquarters.
Are there any Virginia-specific considerations for customer program manager visa sponsorship?
Virginia's federal contracting sector introduces a practical consideration: some customer program manager roles require security clearances, which non-citizens can face significant barriers obtaining. Candidates should prioritize commercial-facing roles or civilian agency contracts that do not list clearance as a requirement. The state's proximity to Washington D.C. also means many positions are classified under DMV metro prevailing wage determinations, which are generally among the higher wage bands nationally.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored customer program manager jobs in Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
