Which companies sponsor visas for customer program managers in California?
Enterprise technology companies are among the most consistent sponsors for customer program manager roles in California. Salesforce, Google, Adobe, ServiceNow, Oracle, and Workday have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories through Department of Labor LCA filings. Larger organizations with established legal and HR infrastructure tend to have more structured sponsorship processes than early-stage startups, though well-funded Series B and later companies also sponsor regularly.
Which visa types are most common for customer program manager roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for customer program managers in California, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, information systems, or communications. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa category for certain business-related roles.
Which cities in California have the most customer program manager sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, San Francisco, and cities across Silicon Valley, accounts for the largest concentration of customer program manager sponsorship roles in California. Los Angeles has a growing presence, particularly in media technology and e-commerce. San Diego sees demand from life sciences and defense-adjacent software companies. Remote-first roles headquartered in California but open to distributed candidates also list California as the employer state for sponsorship purposes.
How to find customer program manager visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles in the United States, including customer program manager positions in California. You can filter by role and state to see which California employers are actively hiring and willing to sponsor. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsorship-confirmed or sponsorship-open listings, which saves time compared to sifting through general job postings where sponsorship status is unclear.
Are there state-specific considerations for customer program managers seeking sponsorship in California?
California employers filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications must pay the prevailing wage for the specific role and location, which is benchmarked to the Bay Area or relevant metro area and tends to be higher than national averages. California also has strong worker protection laws that apply regardless of visa status. The state's concentration of large technology employers means more companies have internal immigration legal teams, which can make the sponsorship process more standardized than in smaller markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored customer program manager jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
