Which companies in Washington sponsor visas for program coordinators?
Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, and UW Medicine are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors for program coordinator roles in Washington. Nonprofits and research institutions, including Fred Hutch Cancer Center and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, also sponsor international workers. Healthcare systems such as Providence and MultiCare have filed LCAs for coordination roles tied to clinical programs and grant management.
Which visa types are most common for program coordinator roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program coordinators in Washington, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as public health, education administration, or information systems. Some positions at universities qualify under the J-1 visa or H-1B cap-exempt category if the employer is a qualifying nonprofit or research institution. TN visas apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories.
Which cities in Washington have the most program coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the largest share of program coordinator sponsorship jobs in Washington, driven by its concentration of tech companies, research hospitals, and nonprofits. Bellevue and Redmond are strong secondary markets due to Microsoft's campus and related tech employers. Tacoma and Spokane have smaller but growing opportunities, particularly in healthcare systems and public sector program administration.
How to find program coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find program coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Washington. The platform filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas, saving you from sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results to Washington state and program coordinator roles to focus your search on verified sponsorship opportunities.
Are there state-specific considerations for program coordinators seeking visa sponsorship in Washington?
Washington's strong presence of cap-exempt employers, including public universities like the University of Washington and Washington State University, matters for program coordinators because these institutions can file H-1B petitions outside the annual lottery. The state's prevailing wage requirements for LCA filings reflect Seattle's above-average cost of living, so offered compensation for coordinator roles must meet Department of Labor wage levels for the specific job title and location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program coordinator jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
