Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for brand marketing roles?
Several established Wisconsin employers have a track record of sponsoring work visas for marketing professionals. Consumer brands like Johnsonville, Sargento, and Kohl's have hired brand marketers, as have healthcare organizations like Advocate Aurora Health and UW Health. Larger corporations with dedicated HR and legal teams are generally better positioned to manage the sponsorship process than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for brand marketing roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for brand marketing positions in Wisconsin, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates transition from F-1 OPT, particularly those graduating from UW-Madison or Marquette University. Multinational companies may also use the L-1 for employees transferring from an overseas office into a brand or marketing function.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most brand marketing sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of brand marketing sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's corporate base, including retail, healthcare, and financial services employers, drives consistent demand. Madison benefits from proximity to the University of Wisconsin system and a growing technology and health sciences sector. The Fox Valley corridor, anchored by Appleton and Green Bay, is also notable given the concentration of food and consumer goods companies headquartered there.
How to find brand marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse brand marketing roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by role type and state to surface opportunities at Wisconsin employers who have demonstrated a willingness to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job postings where sponsorship status is often unstated.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for brand marketing visa sponsorship candidates?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are benchmarked to local market data, which can differ meaningfully from major coastal metro rates. Candidates should be aware that brand marketing roles at mid-size Wisconsin companies may be more competitive on sponsorship willingness than salary. UW-Madison and Marquette University produce a steady pipeline of marketing graduates, which can create competition for available sponsorship slots at employers who recruit locally.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored brand marketing jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
