Overview:
The Brand Marketing Manager is a hands-on marketing role responsible for executing and maintaining integrated marketing programs across JK Moving's business units. This role owns email marketing, CRM management, direct mail, and campaign execution, and serves as the day-to-day steward of JK's brand voice and positioning across all channels. The role also serves as the day-to-day coordinator for brand asset platforms and vendor relationships.
Working within established program strategy, this role is expected to operate independently, manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, and deliver consistent, high-quality execution across channels. It is well-suited to a motivated, versatile marketer with the initiative to expand scope and ownership within a cross-functional environment — with a clear path toward broader leadership in the marketing program.
Responsibilities:
Brand Voice, Positioning, and Asset Management:
- Serve as a day-to-day steward of JK's brand voice, visual identity, and messaging framework — ensuring consistency and quality across all channels, materials, and business units.
- Apply and reinforce JK's brand positioning and competitive differentiation in all campaign messaging, partnering with marketing leadership and creative resources to develop, refine, and document brand standards, including tone of voice guidelines, messaging hierarchies, and positioning statements for key service lines.
- Support or coordinate brand asset creation initiatives such as photo shoots, video production, and other content development, as needed.
- Serve as day-to-day coordinator for marketing asset management and content repository platforms, keeping them current, organized, and accessible to internal users.
- Maintain a centralized library of approved brand assets, templates, and messaging frameworks for use across the organization.
- Coordinate with vendors — including creative studios, photographers, and production partners — on deliverable timelines and quality, escalating as needed.
Email Marketing and CRM:
- Plan, build, and execute email campaigns across multiple segments, including segmentation, journey development, A/B testing, deployment, and performance reporting.
- Maintain CRM data integrity, automation logic, and audience management in support of lead nurturing programs.
- Document and maintain the email operating cadence, including planning, approvals, QA, launch, and reporting cycles.
- Execute email and CRM components of account-based marketing programs in coordination with sales stakeholders, including list management and campaign timing.
Campaign, Direct Mail, and Events:
- Participate in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns across B2C and B2B segments, including digital, social, email, print, direct mail, and content.
- Support social media and content marketing execution as part of integrated campaign programs.
- Manage the direct mail program on an ongoing basis, including vendor coordination, list preparation, and performance tracking as a supporting channel to email.
- Support event coordination and logistics for on-site and trade show activations as part of integrated campaign programs.
- Support development and maintenance of marketing and sales materials in coordination with creative resources.
Reporting and Market Insights:
- Track campaign performance against defined KPIs and success metrics, with an orientation toward ROI and continuous optimization.
- Interpret and apply market research, competitive data, and customer insights to refine campaign messaging and targeting.
- Maintain a test-and-learn log of results and optimization recommendations across channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure marketing programs are executed cohesively and aligned with business priorities.
- Build and maintain domain knowledge across JK's service lines to inform messaging quality and campaign relevance.
- Support internal branding and enterprise marketing initiatives, including recruiting-related materials, ensuring consistency with the overall brand story across business units.
GROWTH PATH: TOWARD MARKETING PROGRAM LEADERSHIP:
This role is designed as a foundation for growth into broader leadership in marketing programs. Candidates who demonstrate strategic thinking and cross-functional influence will find meaningful opportunities to expand scope from channel execution to program ownership — within JK's marketing organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a generalist or multi-disciplinary marketing role with demonstrated execution across more than one channel or function.

- Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with target marketing, segmentation, personas, and customer journey frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to apply brand voice and positioning frameworks consistently across channels and materials.
- Strong copywriting instincts and ability to write in a defined brand voice across formats and audiences.

- B2B and B2C marketing experience and exposure to account-based marketing a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with experience tracking campaign performance against KPIs and success metrics.

Which companies sponsor visas for brand marketers in Virginia?
Northern Virginia's concentration of large employers creates a notable pool of sponsors. Capital One, Booz Allen Hamilton, Freddie Mac, and Leidos have histories of sponsoring skilled roles including brand and marketing positions. Technology firms in the Dulles corridor, such as those supporting cloud and cybersecurity products, also hire brand marketers internationally. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and varies by role, team budget, and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for brand marketing roles in Virginia?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for brand marketing positions in Virginia, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a directly related field. The O-1A is an option for marketers with demonstrated extraordinary achievement. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify under the TN visa for market research analyst roles listed in the USMCA schedule.
Which cities in Virginia have the most brand marketing sponsorship jobs?
The Northern Virginia corridor, covering Arlington, McLean, Tysons Corner, and Reston, holds the largest share of brand marketing sponsorship opportunities due to its density of corporate headquarters and technology firms. Richmond is a secondary hub, home to national retailers and financial services companies. Virginia Beach has a smaller but active market tied to defense contractors and consumer-facing regional brands.
How to find brand marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Virginia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse brand marketing roles in Virginia without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform covers openings across Northern Virginia's technology and consulting firms, Richmond's financial services sector, and other regional employers. Filtering by role type and location helps narrow results to positions relevant to your experience and visa eligibility.
Are there state-specific considerations for brand marketers seeking sponsorship in Virginia?
Virginia's proximity to Washington D.C. means many large employers operate under federal contracting rules, which can affect hiring timelines and internal approval processes for sponsorship. Northern Virginia also has a high concentration of H-1B dependent employers, who face stricter attestation requirements under Department of Labor rules. Brand marketing candidates with specialized skills in areas like digital acquisition, product marketing, or multilingual campaigns tend to have stronger sponsorship cases.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored brand marketing jobs in Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
