Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for business development executives?
Wisconsin-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity include Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, Oshkosh Corporation, Rockwell Automation (with regional operations), and ManpowerGroup. Healthcare-adjacent firms like Epic Systems and Exact Sciences also hire for senior business development functions. Sponsorship activity is strongest at large enterprises and mid-market technology or financial services companies with established international hiring programs.
Which visa types are most common for business development executive roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development executive positions, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Candidates with multinational management responsibilities may also be considered for L-1A visas. Executives with extraordinary achievement in business development may qualify for an O-1B or EB-1 classification through an employer-sponsored petition.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most business development executive sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the largest share of business development executive sponsorship activity in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and manufacturing headquarters. Madison follows closely, with its technology sector and university-affiliated commercial ventures supporting senior hiring. Green Bay and Appleton, anchored by paper, packaging, and logistics industries, also generate sponsorship demand for experienced business development professionals.
How to find business development executive visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers are open to visa sponsorship, making it more efficient than general job searches for business development executive positions in Wisconsin. You can browse by state and role to surface opportunities at Milwaukee-area financial firms, Madison technology companies, and manufacturing employers statewide. Sorting by recently posted listings helps identify companies actively hiring for these senior commercial roles.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for business development executives seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are calculated at the county level, so compensation benchmarks differ between Milwaukee metro roles and positions in smaller markets like Wausau or La Crosse. The state's manufacturing and fintech sectors tend to hire business development executives with deep vertical expertise rather than generalist profiles, making industry-specific experience a meaningful factor in both the job search and the employer's decision to pursue sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development executive jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
