Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for engineering managers?
Established Wisconsin employers with documented sponsorship histories for engineering managers include Rockwell Automation, Epic Systems, Kimberly-Clark, Johnson Controls, and GE Healthcare. Manufacturing firms in the Milwaukee area and healthcare technology companies in Madison have consistently filed Labor Condition Applications for engineering management roles requiring specialized technical and leadership expertise.
Which visa types are most common for engineering manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for engineering managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Candidates with multinational company experience may also see L-1A petitions, and those with extraordinary achievement in their field may qualify for O-1 consideration.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the largest share of engineering manager sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of industrial manufacturers and automation companies drives demand, while Madison benefits from Epic Systems and a university-adjacent tech sector. Appleton and Green Bay, serving the paper, packaging, and medical device industries, also generate engineering manager openings with some sponsorship history.
How to find engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse engineering manager roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface openings at Wisconsin employers actively seeking engineering managers and willing to sponsor H-1B or other work visas.
Are there state-specific considerations for engineering managers pursuing visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific metropolitan statistical area, so engineering manager roles in Milwaukee carry different wage benchmarks than those in smaller Wisconsin markets. The state's strong manufacturing and medical device pipelines also mean employers here often value domain-specific engineering backgrounds, which can shape how a sponsoring employer structures the job description and LCA filing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
