Scope of Position:
As the Site Administrator, you will oversee the preparation, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of site IT hardware, software, and related IT infrastructure. Under the guidance of the IT Manager Site Administration, you'll participate in technical research and development to promote continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure at the local sites. You will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and related procedures follow organizational values.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing support to the site and remote personnel with company computer systems, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Mobile, RF devices and AV equipment.
- Imaging, deployment, and inventory of computers and software.
- Configuration of computer systems, printers, associated peripherals, and software to meet job roles.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructure hardware and software onsite or remotely while utilizing Service Management software and working with Managed Services to resolve IT issues.
- Create accounts for new users, configure settings and features, manage security, access permissions, and remove inactive accounts.
- Maintain computers, servers, backups, and user accounts.
- Participate in global IT project work including design, planning, coordinating, and implementation as assigned by IT Management team.
- Available to respond to site support after hours is required during outages, issues, and tasks that have a business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Directly related work experience may be substituted for degree.
- IT Certifications
- 3-5 years experience providing technical support for systems with software and hardware components.
- Must be an information technology generalist with the ability to attain a broad awareness of all technologies and their functionalities.
- Experience troubleshooting network and printing problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
- Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
