Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for patient service coordinators?
UW Health, Froedtert Health, Ascension Wisconsin, and Aurora Health Care (part of Advocate Health) are among the larger Wisconsin health systems that have sponsored work visas for administrative and patient-facing healthcare roles. Academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin also have established HR infrastructure for managing sponsorship petitions.
Which visa types are most common for patient service coordinator roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for patient service coordinators, provided the role is structured as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, or a related field. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying administrative health roles. Some positions may also be filled through OPT or STEM OPT extensions for recent graduates.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of patient service coordinator openings in Wisconsin, driven by their concentration of large hospital systems and academic medical centers. Green Bay, Appleton, and Racine also have notable healthcare employer presence through regional health networks. Madison in particular benefits from UW Health's scale across multiple outpatient campuses throughout Dane County.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters patient service coordinator openings in Wisconsin by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening hundreds of postings. You can search by role and state to surface positions at health systems that have a documented history of sponsoring work visas, which is particularly useful for coordinators targeting employers in the Madison and Milwaukee metro areas.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for patient service coordinators?
Wisconsin's healthcare sector is heavily anchored in nonprofit hospital systems, which generally have more consistent HR and legal resources for managing sponsorship than smaller private practices. The state's strong ties between health systems and institutions like UW-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin create graduate pipelines that some employers already navigate for visa purposes. Prevailing wage compliance under H-1B rules applies statewide and is determined by the specific county and role classification at the time of the Labor Condition Application filing.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
