Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for product support engineers?
Wisconsin's strongest visa sponsors for product support engineers include Rockwell Automation and Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, Epic Systems and Exact Sciences in Madison, and Fiserv in Brookfield. Manufacturing technology and healthcare IT firms in the state have consistent H-1B filing histories for technical support roles requiring engineering or computer science credentials. Checking Department of Labor LCA disclosure data confirms which employers have sponsored recently.
Which visa types are most common for product support engineer roles in Wisconsin?
H-1B is the most common visa category for product support engineers in Wisconsin, applicable when the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field. Canadian citizens may qualify for TN status under the USMCA if the position aligns with a covered occupation. Australians with qualifying degrees can explore the E-3 visa. Each category has distinct employer filing requirements and timelines.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most product support engineer sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee leads Wisconsin for product support engineer sponsorship activity, driven by Rockwell Automation's industrial automation products and a broader advanced manufacturing sector. Madison ranks second, with Epic Systems alone employing thousands of technical staff and sponsoring visas for product-facing engineering roles. The Fox Valley corridor around Appleton and Neenah also generates sponsorship activity through paper technology and industrial equipment companies.
How to find product support engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product support engineer openings in Wisconsin without sorting through roles that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by location, visa type, and industry, which is especially useful in Wisconsin where sponsoring employers are spread across Milwaukee, Madison, and the Fox Valley. Migrate Mate's data focuses on employers with documented sponsorship history.
Are there state-specific considerations for product support engineers seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements are determined federally through the Department of Labor's wage library, but local wages in Milwaukee and Madison tend to track closer to national averages than rural areas, which affects the wage level an employer must certify on the Labor Condition Application. University of Wisconsin-Madison and Milwaukee School of Engineering produce strong pipeline candidates, meaning employers in the state are generally familiar with international hire and sponsorship processes for technical roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product support engineer jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
