Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for social media marketing roles?
Milwaukee-based corporations including Harley-Davidson, ManpowerGroup, and Rockwell Automation have sponsored marketing roles through the H-1B program. Madison's technology and healthcare employers, along with agencies serving Wisconsin's food and beverage industry, also appear in federal disclosure data. Sponsorship availability varies by employer size, budget cycle, and whether the specific social media role meets specialty occupation requirements.
Which visa types are most common for social media marketing jobs in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for social media marketing roles in Wisconsin, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Some roles may qualify under the O-1 for individuals with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in digital marketing. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying marketing analyst roles.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most social media marketing sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee concentrates the largest share of Wisconsin's sponsored marketing roles, given its density of corporate headquarters, advertising agencies, and healthcare systems. Madison follows closely, supported by the University of Wisconsin system, state government contractors, and a growing tech startup community. Green Bay and Appleton offer smaller but active markets, particularly among regional consumer brands and manufacturing companies with marketing teams.
How to find social media marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to social media marketing roles in Wisconsin where employers are open to visa sponsorship, saving significant research time. Because sponsorship willingness is rarely stated upfront in job postings, Migrate Mate's curated board focuses on employers with verified sponsorship history. Searching by Wisconsin and filtering to social media marketing roles surfaces the most relevant active opportunities for international candidates.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for social media marketing visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific role and metropolitan area as determined by Department of Labor standards. Milwaukee and Madison have distinct prevailing wage levels reflecting local market conditions. Social media marketing positions at universities or nonprofit hospitals may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B filings, which are not subject to the annual lottery and can be filed at any time of year.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored social media marketing jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
