Target Microsoft partner organizations
Gold and Silver Microsoft partners sponsor Dynamics 365 Developers at high rates. These firms regularly handle H-1B filings and have established immigration processes, making them significantly more likely to sponsor than companies without a formal Microsoft partnership.
Specialize in high-demand modules
Finance and Operations, Customer Engagement, and Supply Chain Management are the modules employers most urgently hire for. Deep expertise in any one of these strengthens your sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized knowledge that generalist developers cannot easily replace.
Highlight certifications in your application
Microsoft certifications like MB-500 and PL-400 signal verified technical competence to employers. Certified candidates reduce employer hiring risk, which directly increases willingness to invest in sponsorship costs and immigration attorney fees for the right applicant.
Understand the specialty occupation standard
H-1B eligibility requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Dynamics 365 development strongly meets this standard, but your job description should explicitly reflect technical complexity to support the petition.
Apply early in the H-1B cycle
H-1B registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. Applying to sponsoring employers between October and February gives you the best chance of securing an offer before registration closes and cap-subject slots are allocated by lottery.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Not every job posting reflects genuine sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate surfaces Dynamics 365 Developer roles from employers with documented sponsorship history, saving you from applying to positions where sponsorship is listed but rarely approved in practice.

Find Dynamics 365 Developer JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does a Dynamics 365 Developer role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes. Dynamics 365 Developer positions consistently qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B requirements because the role demands a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field. Roles involving custom development, X++ coding, Power Platform integration, or solution architecture carry particularly strong petition approval rates given their clear degree-to-job alignment.
What degree do I need for an employer to sponsor my visa as a Dynamics 365 Developer?
Most employers require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a closely related field. Some employers accept degrees in business information technology when combined with strong technical experience. Foreign three-year degrees are often accepted if evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree by a credential evaluation service.
Are Dynamics 365 Developer jobs eligible for cap-exempt H-1B sponsorship?
They can be. If a Microsoft partner or consulting firm places you at a qualifying cap-exempt institution such as a university, nonprofit research organization, or government entity, your H-1B petition may be filed outside the annual lottery. This is less common for standard commercial placements, but consulting arrangements occasionally create cap-exempt eligibility depending on the end client.
How competitive is H-1B sponsorship for Dynamics 365 Developers compared to other tech roles?
Dynamics 365 Developer is a specialized niche, which works in your favor. Employers filling these roles face a narrower candidate pool than for general software engineering, increasing their motivation to sponsor. The FY 2025 H-1B selection rate across all registrations was approximately 25%, but employer sponsorship decisions are driven more by role criticality than by lottery odds alone.
Where can I find Dynamics 365 Developer jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point. It lists Dynamics 365 Developer roles from employers with verified sponsorship history, so you're not filtering through hundreds of postings that mention sponsorship but rarely follow through. Focusing on Microsoft Gold partners, large ERP consultancies, and enterprise employers in manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services will produce the strongest results.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Dynamics 365 Developer jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
