About Rippling
Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system. Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds. Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes. We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About The Role
As Rippling’s Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you’ll design and execute programs that move prospects seamlessly through every stage of the journey. You’ll own the strategy and execution of lifecycle programs across email, paid, and owned channels that drive conversion, product adoption, and long-term engagement. As our Senior Cross-Sell Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you'll own the infrastructure and programs that turn existing customers into multi-product buyers. This role sits at the center of everything: marketing automation, sales orchestration, product signals, and data infrastructure. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with sellers, MOps, RevOps and Product. We’re looking for candidates that can move fast, prioritize ruthlessly, and leave the system better than they found it. Rippling’s marketing engine has always been a growth lever - Kleiner Perkins partner Mamoon Hamid calls Rippling “the 1% of the 1%” - and lifecycle is central to unlocking our next phase of scale.
What You Will Do
- Own & execute lifecycle campaigns from concept to analysis, including copywriting, audience targeting, content creation, sales enablement, and performance tracking.
- Analyze lifecycle performance across touchpoints; kill what isn't working, double down on what is, and write the Snowflake queries to prove it either way.
- Build and scale customer journeys in Iterable that move customers from awareness to demo booked to closed. Implement lifecycle hierarchy logic with MOps, enforce accurate entry/exit criteria, and expand journeys across the multi-product suite.
- Drive product launches through GA comms, vertical-specific messaging plays, and PLG sequences that convert engagement into pipeline.
- Identify and activate behavioral and firmographic triggers — funding rounds, headcount changes, product usage signals — and build campaigns that turn them into SQOs.
- Expand on existing engagement signals by cleaning up unused sequences, testing new signals and implementing corresponding campaigns to support e.g. customer raises new funding round.
- Be the connective tissue between marketing, sales, and MOps: triage escalations, prevent messaging collisions, and keep the lifecycle engine running cleanly.
What You Will Need
- 6+ years of experience in lifecycle, growth, or demand marketing roles at high-growth B2B SaaS companies.
- Proven track record of using lifecycle marketing to improve activation, retention, and customer LTV.
- Fluency in Salesforce data model: campaign members, lead/contact records, MQL routing logic — you can self-serve on SFDC reports and spot data problems before they become seller complaints.
- Experience with marketing automation/ email marketing software (Iterable) specifically building multi-step nurture campaigns.
- Strong project management instincts - you track your own work, hit deadlines without being chased, and know when to escalate vs. resolve independently.
- Analytical enough to write SQL or Snowflake queries, spot a TAM opt-out spike before it becomes a crisis, and connect campaign performance to pipeline impact.
- Comfortable operating at the intersection of sales and marketing - you understand that sellers have commercial relationships to protect and you coordinate accordingly.
- Experience with Outreach or similar sales sequencing tools is a plus.
- Sharp communicator; you can synthesize a complicated ops issue into a one-line Slack for a sales leader.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment—you're energized by experimentation and rapid iteration.

Frame your degree as a specialty occupation requirement
H-1B approval for lifecycle marketing roles depends on proving the job requires a specific degree. Highlight how your marketing, business, or communications degree directly supports CRM strategy, segmentation, and retention, not just general marketing skills.
Target employers with a history of H-1B filings
SaaS companies, fintech firms, and enterprise e-commerce brands file H-1B petitions for lifecycle marketing roles regularly. Searching DOL LCA disclosure data by job title reveals which employers have sponsored this role in recent fiscal years.
Quantify your impact before the interview
Employers sponsor foreign nationals when the cost is clearly justified. Prepare specific metrics, retention rate improvements, revenue-per-email lift, churn reduction percentages, that demonstrate measurable business impact from your lifecycle programs.
Understand how your visa status affects your start date
If you're on OPT or a cap-subject H-1B, your start date may be constrained by USCIS timelines or the October 1 cap date. Communicate this clearly and early so employers can plan the petition filing accordingly.
Address sponsorship directly in your cover letter
Many hiring managers assume sponsorship is complicated and expensive. A brief, confident explanation of your visa status, expected timeline, and what the employer needs to do removes uncertainty and keeps your application moving forward.
Use Migrate Mate to find roles open to sponsorship
Not every lifecycle marketing role accepts visa applicants, but many do. Migrate Mate filters job listings to surface employers actively willing to sponsor, saving you the time of applying to positions that will screen you out early.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager role qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, senior lifecycle marketing roles generally qualify as H-1B visa specialty occupations when the employer requires a bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business, communications, or a closely related field. The key is that the degree requirement must be specific, not just preferred. Roles at SaaS companies, fintech platforms, and e-commerce brands have strong precedent for H-1B approval at the senior level, where the technical demands of CRM systems, data segmentation, and attribution modeling support the specialty occupation argument.
What degree do I need for an employer to sponsor my visa in this role?
Most employers require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related quantitative field. Some senior roles also accept degrees in psychology or data analytics given the behavioral science component of lifecycle strategy. A mismatched degree, for example, a general arts degree with no marketing coursework, can complicate the H-1B petition. If your degree doesn't align directly, three years of specialized work experience can substitute for one year of education under USCIS equivalency rules.
Which industries are most likely to sponsor a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager?
SaaS companies are the most consistent sponsors, followed by fintech, consumer subscription businesses, and enterprise e-commerce platforms. These employers run complex, multi-channel lifecycle programs that justify senior hires and have legal infrastructure in place for H-1B filings. Early-stage startups occasionally sponsor but are less predictable. Reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data by job title shows which specific employers have filed for lifecycle marketing roles in recent years. Migrate Mate surfaces these employers directly in its job listings.
How does the H-1B lottery affect my timeline for this role?
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, your employment can't begin until October 1 of the fiscal year following the lottery, meaning if you're selected in April, you wait until October. Employers familiar with this timeline will factor it into their hiring plan. If you're already in H-1B status with a different employer, a transfer petition isn't subject to the lottery and can take effect much faster, sometimes within weeks of filing with premium processing.
Can I negotiate sponsorship terms with a prospective employer?
Yes, and senior-level candidates have more leverage to do so. Common negotiation points include premium processing (which cuts USCIS adjudication to 15 business days), legal fee coverage, and green card sponsorship timelines. Employers who have sponsored before understand the process and are more receptive to these conversations. If you're unsure which companies are open to these terms, browsing Migrate Mate's sponsorship-focused listings gives you a starting point with employers already committed to the process.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
