ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees assigned territory, building and maintaining relationships with agent and broker partners driving profitable revenue growth to achieve financial and operational goals. Creates, implements and executes territory and agent/broker strategies to achieve short term and long term goals utilizing all company programs, tools and resources.
- Owns the business development process within assigned market area with heavy emphasis on developing a pipeline of profitable new business and renewal retention. Represents EMC Claims Solutions at sales, claims, and insurance conferences and events, including presenting on panels.
- Responds to TPA RFPs from agents/brokers for EMC Claims Solutions. Maintains a tracking document for the stage and ownership of each item within an RFP and identifies resources needed to fulfill RFP responses.
- Researches EMC’s competitive position in the marketplace, proactively providing competitive intelligence and recommends changes in strategy or pricing.
- Builds and cultivates complex agent/broker partnerships using a variety of tools and partnerships. Creates, drives, and manages strong agent/broker relationships through high visibility, clear knowledge of company strategy and joint sales planning with underwriting as appropriate.
- Creates tactical sales plans that provide for the profitable growth of targeted business segments. Regularly monitors and modifies agent/broker plans according to their performance data, such as RFP opportunities, new prospect meetings, profitability, business mix and retention, submission quality, and technological services.
- Leads RFP processes for identified potential clients. Develops proposals demonstrating EMC Claims Solution’s value and abilities to attract and sign clients. Collaborates with Claims Solutions leadership to build custom proposals on services to clients to expand Claims Solutions business.
- Manages all external-facing marketing materials including working with internal partners to create new materials which highlight the advantages of EMC Claims Solutions as a TPA partner.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of a database of all sales-related metrics, including quote and hit ratio, new and renewal account volume, profitability, net profitability and services sold.
- Actively participates in agent/broker education opportunities to build relationships and to position EMC Claims Solutions as a leading TPA.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree, preferably in a business, marketing, or insurance related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Eight years of experience in a sales or TPA claims role, or related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Advanced knowledge of the TPA Claims process and lifecycle
- Excellent ability to explore new and different processes, services, technologies, and partnerships to enhance EMC Claims Solution’s business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and presentation skills
- Ability to distill and communicate highly complex issues for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points to make recommendations to stakeholders
- Excellent ability to develop strong working relationships to achieve shared goals
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Regular travel (domestic); valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards will be required if driving.
COMPENSATION
- The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either of the following: $100,085 - $138,285 or $110,624 - $152,122. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
