Account Director Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an account director job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Uptown and the North Dallas Tollway corridor, where the heaviest concentration of agencies, tech firms, and financial services companies post account director roles. Dallas rewards candidates who bring vertically specific experience, particularly in telecom, healthcare tech, or B2B SaaS, which dominate local hiring. Building visibility through Dallas-area industry events and the local AMA chapter gives candidates a meaningful edge over remote applicants.
Which companies hire account directors in Dallas?
Dallas account director roles are posted by Enverus, Cushman & Wakefield, and JLL and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The hiring mix reflects Dallas's broad commercial base, ranging from global Fortune 500 headquarters to independent creative agencies and regional healthcare systems.
Are there remote account director jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though account director roles tend to require regular client-facing presence, which limits fully remote options compared to purely analytical positions. About 63% of account director openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements being the more common arrangement. Client-strategy and planning responsibilities are most frequently performed remotely, while new business and onboarding work typically stays in-person.
How can I get an account director job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is moving up from an account manager or senior account executive role inside one of the city's mid-size agencies or B2B tech companies in Uptown or Las Colinas. Local employers in healthcare marketing and financial services frequently promote from within and post account director openings with three to five years of client-service experience rather than requiring a decade. Demonstrating measurable revenue retention or upsell results from your current book of business is the credential that moves candidates fastest in Dallas.
Which industries hire the most account directors in Dallas?
Dallas account director roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Dallas's position as a regional headquarters hub for telecom, financial services, and healthcare technology companies drives consistent demand across those sectors throughout the year.
