Account Manager Jobs in Grand Rapids: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a account manager job in Grand Rapids?
Start by targeting the sectors that hire most heavily in Grand Rapids: healthcare systems, food and beverage manufacturing, logistics firms, and regional financial services companies. Jobs concentrate downtown near Monroe Center, along the Medical Mile, and in the suburban office parks near Cascade. Candidates who demonstrate B2B relationship experience, familiarity with CRM tools, and a network in West Michigan's tight-knit business community consistently stand out over equally qualified applicants from outside the region.
Which companies hire account managers in Grand Rapids?
Employers hiring account managers in Grand Rapids right now include Acrisure, OTIS, and Fraza, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Grand Rapids draws a mix of large regional employers, national corporations with West Michigan offices, and mid-size manufacturers and distributors that rely heavily on dedicated account management teams.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Grand Rapids?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Account management work tied to in-person client visits, manufacturing plant relationships, or on-site demos tends to be in-office or hybrid rather than fully remote. About 100% of account manager openings tied to Grand Rapids are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the remote share concentrated in software, insurance, and national distribution roles where client contact is primarily digital.
How can I get a account manager job in Grand Rapids with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Grand Rapids is through inside sales or customer success roles at mid-size manufacturers, distributors, or healthcare technology companies, which regularly hire candidates with strong communication skills and no direct account management background. Grand Rapids employers in food and beverage, office products, and regional logistics are especially known for promoting from inside sales into account management. Volunteering with Grand Rapids business groups and attending West Michigan industry events also builds the local network that frequently drives referrals.
