AI Program Manager Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai program manager in Ohio?
There is no state-issued license or Ohio-specific registration required to work as an ai program manager. The typical Ohio path starts with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering, followed by experience managing technology or data projects. Many Ohio employers also value a PMP or Agile certification. Candidates who have led software or analytics initiatives at Ohio companies in healthcare, defense, or financial services tend to be the most competitive.
Which companies hire ai program managers in Ohio?
Employers hiring ai program managers in Ohio right now include The Ohio State University, JPMorganChase, and Northwest Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Ohio's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and defense contractors means ai program manager roles appear across a wide range of industries rather than concentrating in a single sector.
Which Ohio cities have the most ai program manager jobs?
Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati account for the largest share of ai program manager openings in Ohio. Columbus drives volume through its dense concentration of insurance, fintech, and enterprise technology employers, while Cincinnati benefits from major consumer goods and logistics headquarters, and Cleveland adds demand through its health system network and manufacturing technology initiatives.
Are there remote ai program manager jobs in Ohio?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 0% of ai program manager openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and cross-functional coordination nature of the role. Program planning, stakeholder reporting, and roadmap governance are the work streams most commonly performed fully remotely, while sprint reviews and vendor meetings tend to anchor hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a ai program manager in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a technical adjacent role, such as business analyst, data analyst, or software project coordinator, into an AI-focused program management position. Large Ohio employers like Nationwide, JobsOhio-supported tech startups, and major health systems such as OhioHealth and Cleveland Clinic run associate program manager or rotational technology leadership programs that do not require prior AI experience. Building a portfolio that includes a documented AI or data project, even from coursework or a volunteer initiative, and earning a PMP or Agile certification significantly strengthens a candidacy without years of direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Ohio?
You can find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Ohio on Migrate Mate, which lists current Ohio openings updated regularly. Search the roles available, find the ones that fit your background and location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
