A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As Director of Sales & Analytics – Walmart, you drive explosive growth, sharpen competitive edge, and fuel profitability across one of Monster's most critical accounts. You partner closely with the National Accounts Senior Director to command day-to-day execution, elevate performance, and keep the business surging forward. You rally cross-functional teams, align strategies, and power up annual Joint Business Plans that sync Monster's vision with Walmart's biggest priorities. Every move you make pushes the brand harder, faster, and louder — delivering results that hit with the same intensity as the product itself.
THE IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:
- Developing and maintaining good business relations between Monster Energy Company (MEC) and Walmart, understanding the aspects of the customer and bottlers business that impact MEC, and demonstrate the ability to develop sales solutions to overcome business challenges
- Achieve desired sales goals by collaborating and maintaining consistent business routines with Walmart, our internal MEC Team, the Coca Cola Bottling Network, and other key stakeholders, to sell in profitable and strategic business plans that align with corporate and brand plans
- Support Joint Business Planning process with the MEC Team and Customer, that includes strategic plans designed to develop organic growth, innovation to drive sales and share growth, distribution in both cold and warm plan-o-grams, customer marketing to support business plans, and managing budgets to maximize revenue, collaborating with Field Teams and Bottling partners to execute National and Regional Plans involving distribution, program execution, void closure, new items, pricing, in stock improvement, and other key initiatives
- Track, review, and measures all relevant data to assess assigned business and channel business to convert insights/data into sales solutions that deliver results, while managing communication on promotional and executional opportunities, both internally and externally in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a passion for understanding best practices, trends and technology affecting the business, industry, and marketplace, that address business issues relevant to the broader organization
- Maintain focus on assigned business to proactively identify opportunities to improve customer service, improve business performance, quickly and effectively respond to business challenges with sound sales solutions, and partner with other functions/departments to meet the customer's needs
- Understand and anticipate how business plans and actions will impact both MEC and the customer financially, and proactively monitor progress versus plans for promotional and executional opportunities, both internally and externally
- Make sound trade-offs of time, effort, and resources to effectively manage multiple business demands to ensure timely completion of job tasks and projects; taking immediate action to proactively resolve business and/or customer related issues by identifying and recommending solutions and improvements
WHO YOU ARE:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business, Marketing, or Finance or related field of study
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in beverage industry, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in collaborating within a team
- Computer Skills Desired: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce
- Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Walmart Data Ventures: Scintilla, Global Replenishment Systems (GRS) Demand Forecasting, and Online Pickup and Delivery (OPD) Metrics, Nielsen/IRI, Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms
