INTRODUCTION
Schneider Electric is seeking talented individuals with a strong work ethic to be part of our manufacturing team in Fairfield. We currently have opportunities for Electronics Assembly Technicians for our manufacturing department. Job responsibilities may include the strict application of standardized processes in manufacturing / production processes across a broad scope including for example some basic maintenance processes and continuous improvement. Join our production team as a Electronics Assembler and play a key role in delivering quality products. This hands-on position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment where your attention to detail and commitment to excellence make a real difference.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble components and products following detailed specifications and standardized processes
- Inspect finished products to verify quality and ensure adherence to standards
- Work closely with team members to achieve production goals and maintain efficient workflows
- Keep your work area clean and organized while promptly reporting any equipment issues
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work

- Eager to learn and adapt to new processes and techniques
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently

Customer Orientation — intermediate level; ensuring product quality meets internal and external customer expectations
Drives for Results — intermediate level; meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards
Digital Literacy — developing level; using digital tools and systems to track production data
Operational Health and Safety Management — developing level; following safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
Problem Solving — developing level; identifying and escalating production issues quickly
Quality Control & Inspection — developing level; inspecting products to ensure they meet specifications
Automation Integration — foundational level; working alongside automated systems in the production process
Lean Methodology — foundational level; supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor
This job might be for you if you can:
- Safely execute standard work and suggest improvements to operating procedures
- Achieve proficiency in all assigned stations
- Execute operations to meet efficiency target standards
- Assist with training, as needed
- Identify and escalate to the Team Leader (IAB3) any risks regarding health, safety, quality and environment, including reporting all incidents and near misses
- Ensure the quality of the operations performed by controlling and respecting the standards
- Apply escalation process in case of any deviation (safety, environment, quality, performance)
- Ensure proper recording of barriers and performance in Red / Green follow up
- Perform basic line preventative maintenance
- Ensure Proper 5S standards are maintained
- Assist with startup and continuous improvement projects
- Facilitate teamwork and collaboration by actively engaging with team members to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment
- Regularly participate in relevant training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
