SSOE is looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager (Pharmaceutical Facilities) to join our Industrial Facilities Design team. The selected individual will have the opportunity to support our Facilities Battery/Complex Projects Operation projects and Project Management Team. This person will assist Senior Project Managers and Project Managers with day to day project tasks, work plans, schedules and budgets and will have opportunities to manage "small" and/or low-complexity projects.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
- Assist Sr. Project Managers and/or Project Manager with day to day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
- Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
- Manage "small" and/or low-complexity projects. (Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Section Manager).
- Audits client billings for Project Manager approval.
- May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
- Follows established procedures to effectively administer project, (i.e., construction cost estimating, correspondence, documents controls, etc.)
- Communicates client's requirements to each discipline.
- Participates on client contact and business development activities.
- Participates in preparing proposals including leading developing low-complexity proposals.
- Assist in the collection of past due accounts.
- May assist in the training of other Assistant Project Managers or project team members to familiarize them with SSOE or the client's specific requirements.
- May attend client meetings to take meeting minutes and prepare for distribution.
- Assist in logging Request for Information, (RFI), submittals, filing and productivity weekly project reports.
- Assist in coordinating meetings and establishes all paper flow and document control with client, contractors, regulatory agencies and others involved.
- May travel to other SSOE offices and/or client locations for coordination purposes or to provide training.
- Coordinates printing and processing of bulletin and addendum assembly with Project Management Assistant, (PMA). Coordinates all printing, assembly and distribution of construction documents being issued for bids.
- Coordinate the completion and distribution of client as-recorded drawings and project close out documents.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications You’ll Need On Day One:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice or an Associate degree in the engineering field is preferred.
- CAPM Certification is encouraged.
- A minimum one (1) year experience as an Engineer 1 or a minimum three (3) years related experience.
- Travel required.
- Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in the following software packages: (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CADD).
- Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
