Project Manager – Natural Gas
The Project Manager – Natural Gas is responsible for end-to-end project management for natural gas, pipeline and facility engineering projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering predictable outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and risk. This role partners closely with technical leaders and clients, supports regional growth, and contributes to long-range planning and business development.
- Experience working with a key account; focused in the oil & gas industry
- Oversee project workload leveling and assignments to optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor and analyze Group utilization data; implement corrective actions to meet KPIs.
- Partner with Department Leader to set and communicate annual utilization targets for employees.
- Ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality compliance for projects managed within the Group.
- Drive improvement in project KPIs (e.g., NLM, WIP) and implement best project management practices.
- Oversee timely invoicing and financial management of projects.
- Review and implement training and professional development plans for the Group.
- Provide input into annual salary adjustments and bonus distribution processes.
- Collaborate with National and Area Practice Leaders on resource planning and technical priorities.
- Coordinate with Market Sector Leaders to identify and elevate business development and cross-selling opportunities.
- Communicate resource needs and workload concerns to Department Leader.
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years of relevant experience managing oil and gas projects
- Knowledge of natural gas systems and/or solar industry and processes; specifically, Ohio
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Existing client relationships with utilities, municipalities, or gas service providers
- Strong understanding of natural gas systems, utility distribution, midstream infrastructure, or renewable gas technologies
- Solid technical proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, GIS, or related tools
- Business development experience (proposals, scopes, budgeting)
Salary Range:
The starting salary for this position is $140,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
