The Assistant Project Manager works under the direction of a Project Manager to deliver assigned portions of electrical construction projects, taking ownership of defined scopes while building the judgement and financial control needed to advance to full project ownership. - Manage assigned project scopes under the direction of the Project Manager
- Coordinate subcontractors and material procurement for assigned scopes
- Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout processes
- Knowledge of job cost tracking and basic construction financial principles
- Prepare and track submittals, requests for information, and change order documentation
- Assist with project budgets, cost forecasts, and monthly billing
- Maintain project documentation and keep the project management platform current
- Support development and updating of the project schedule
- Attend and document project meetings and track action items
- Enforce company safety and quality standards on assigned work
- Develop toward independent management of full projects
- Developing financial and analytical judgment on budgets and change orders
- Ability to manage multiple scopes and deadlines
- Effective coordination with field and office teams
- Commitment to jobsite safety and quality

- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Construction Management, or related field)
- 2–5 years of experience in construction experience, including project support or field engineering.
- Experience in utility construction, electrical contracting, or infrastructure projects (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with construction management software, scheduling software and cost tracking tools (e.g., Procore or similar platforms)
- Strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.
