Job Overview

Duties

• Execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among children.
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones for toddlers through preschool-aged children.
• Implement effective behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental needs, and classroom activities regularly.
• Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing requirements.
• Supervise assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are met consistently.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum innovation, and childcare best practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Experience with curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math, and preschool care.
• Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that promote active learning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Knowledge of child welfare standards, daycare licensing requirements, and private school educational practices.
