Most positions within the Idaho Office of the Attorney General also require admission in good standing with no disciplinary history. Consumer protection, criminal law, and natural resources experience strengthens applications for Idaho-specific roles.
Which companies hire attorney generals in Idaho?
Companies currently hiring attorney generals in Idaho include State of Idaho and Stoel Rives LLP, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Idaho's public sector, particularly the Office of the Attorney General and county government offices, accounts for the largest share of consistent openings in the state.
Which Idaho cities have the most attorney general jobs?
Boise have the most attorney general openings in Idaho. Boise dominates because it houses the Idaho Office of the Attorney General, the state legislature, and the majority of Idaho's regulatory agencies, while Nampa and Pocatello see demand driven by regional county government offices and local prosecutorial units that require licensed attorneys.
Are there remote attorney general jobs in Idaho?
Yes, but they're rare. Attorney general work is heavily court-facing and involves in-person appearances, client meetings, and government office obligations that limit remote arrangements. About 50% of attorney general openings tied to Idaho are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be in legal research, appellate brief writing, or policy analysis rather than trial or enforcement roles.
How can I get hired as a attorney general in Idaho with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a clerkship or internship with an Idaho state agency or the Idaho Office of the Attorney General, which regularly brings on law students and recent graduates for supervised legal work. New law graduates can also apply to the Idaho Attorney General's honors program or seek positions as deputy attorneys in smaller county offices in Ada or Canyon County. Passing the Idaho Bar and gaining any Idaho court exposure, even through a clerkship, significantly strengthens early candidacy.
