Attorney Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a attorney job in Atlanta?
Atlanta's strongest hiring comes from its large law firms concentrated in Midtown and Buckhead, Fortune 500 in-house legal teams downtown, and state and federal agencies near the Capitol. Candidates with experience in corporate transactions, litigation, or regulatory compliance stand out most in this market. Networking through the Atlanta Bar Association and targeting employers in the finance, real estate, and healthcare sectors sharpens your competitive edge locally.
Which companies hire attorneys in Atlanta?
Atlanta attorney roles are posted by State of Georgia, Kanner & Pintaluga, P.A, and Jobot and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's mix of major law firms, large corporate legal departments, and government agencies creates a wide range of employer types across the city.
Are there remote attorney jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though attorney roles are less remote-friendly than purely desk-based professions given court appearances, client meetings, and document handling. About 71% of attorney openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, skewing toward contract review, compliance, and in-house advisory work rather than active litigation roles.
How can I get a attorney job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is landing a law clerk or judicial externship position with Fulton County courts or federal district court, which builds local credibility quickly. Small and mid-size firms in Midtown and along Peachtree Street regularly hire first- and second-year associates, and Atlanta's growing startup and tech scene creates in-house junior counsel opportunities. A Georgia Bar membership and any Atlanta-specific litigation or transactional exposure are the clearest differentiators at the entry level.
Which industries hire the most attorneys in Atlanta?
The sectors hiring the most attorneys in Atlanta are Law & Legal Services, Staffing & Recruiting, and Human Resources, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional financial hub, major healthcare center, and home to one of the country's busiest airports sustains consistent legal demand across those industries.
