Job Summary
Location: Carrollton, GA (HQ) or Battery Office
Observes legal procedures to support research, document preparation, and contract administration. Identifies relevant legal and factual information through research, citation checking, and trial preparation. Ensures accuracy and compliance by analyzing legal documents and assisting with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Administers legal documentation and records, ensuring all files are properly organized and easily accessible for the legal team. Maintains up-to-date records of contracts, corporate governance documents, and other legal materials.

Coordinates with internal departments and external parties, ensuring that necessary legal documents are processed and filed correctly. Acts as a liaison between the legal department and other departments to ensure smooth communication and cooperation.

Interprets and analyzes legal documents, including contracts, regulatory filings, and corporate policies. Assists with the review and drafting of legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company standards.

Conducts legal research on issues related to the electrical industry, identifying relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and industry-specific guidelines. Provides research summaries and recommendations to attorneys.

Performs administrative tasks related to litigation and compliance, including managing deadlines, preparing documents for court filings, and assisting with discovery. Tracks litigation progress and ensures timely submission of required documents.

Monitors compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring that all contracts, projects, and operations meet legal standards. Flags potential legal issues and assists with mitigating risks.

Coordinates with external legal counsel, assisting with the preparation of materials for ongoing litigation and ensuring that the legal team is informed of important developments. Facilitates communication between the company and outside counsel to maintain legal accuracy.

Keeps the legal department informed of changes in legislation and legal trends, identifying potential impacts on company operations and contracts. Advises team members on key regulatory updates that may affect business practices.

Provides guidance to junior staff members, sharing knowledge of legal processes, documents, and best practices. Supports the development of junior paralegals or other team members by offering mentorship and advice.

Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
Preferred Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Associate’s Degree
Licenses/Certificates: Paralegal or Project Management Certification
