You must renew your New Jersey license on a biennial basis and complete continuing education requirements to maintain active status.

New Jersey's large integrated health networks operate audiology departments across multiple hospital campuses and outpatient sites, making them among the most consistent sources of full-time openings in the state.
Which New Jersey cities have the most audiologist jobs?
New Jersey, Newark, and Paramus have the most audiologist openings in New Jersey right now. The concentration in these areas reflects the presence of major academic medical centers, multi-site health systems, and densely populated suburban communities that generate high patient volume across pediatric, adult, and geriatric audiology services.
Are there remote audiologist jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, but they are rare. Audiology is fundamentally a hands-on clinical role requiring in-person diagnostic testing, so most positions require on-site presence. About 0% of audiologist openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, and when remote work does appear it typically covers teleaudiology follow-up consultations or administrative roles rather than primary diagnostic duties.
How can I get hired as an audiologist in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a clinical fellowship position immediately following graduation, as New Jersey hospital systems including those within Hackensack Meridian Health and RWJBarnabas Health regularly accept new-doctorate fellows into structured one-year programs. Audiology assistant roles at ENT practices and hearing center groups offer another entry point for candidates still completing their degree. Having your New Jersey license application in process and a current Certificate of Clinical Competence candidacy on file strengthens any new-graduate application.
