Overview:
This will be a Hybrid role after 90 days fully onsite for training.
Job Description Summary:
Supports the disability and workers’ compensation program and other benefits programs for the organization, serving as a primary contact and interacting with employees and leaders to gather information and answer questions.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Performs Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) administrative tasks.
- Assists with other benefits leave programs including Military, Jury Duty, Personal Leave, Workers’ Compensation, and Paid Family Leave.
- Addresses employee inquiries, assisting with resolving issues and making appropriate applications and changes. Assist with claim processing through our Third Party Administrators (Sedgwick/Hartford).
- Serves as a resource for employees, leaders, and external stakeholders, providing consultation and ensuring compliance with established benefits policies.
- Audits the disability payment file through third-party administrator for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and collaborating to address any additional compensation adjustments required.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or related field, or equivalent experience, required.
Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with Workers' Compensation, FMLA, STD, and LTD administration.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and discretion.
- High level of professionalism and the ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Experience:
- Two years of experience in benefits administration or customer service in a healthcare setting, preferred.
- Experience with HR and workforce management systems such as Workday, Kronos, Sedgwick, or other third-party benefits administration carriers, preferred.
- Experience with Payroll and Workers' Compensation, preferred.
- Project management experience, preferred.
