Business Analyst Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst manager in Washington?
Washington does not require a state-issued license to work as a business analyst manager, so the path runs through education and demonstrated leadership experience. Most roles require a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field, and employers in Seattle and Bellevue increasingly favor candidates holding a CBAP or PMI-ACP certification. Progression typically means moving from senior analyst to lead analyst before stepping into a manager title at a technology company, healthcare system, or government contractor.
How much do business analyst managers make in Washington?
Business analyst managers in Washington earn a median of about $109,170 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,910 for the lowest 10% to over $194,090 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business analyst managers in Washington?
Employers hiring business analyst managers in Washington right now include Amazon, State of Washington, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's concentration of global tech headquarters and large defense and aerospace contractors means demand for this role stays consistent even outside peak hiring cycles.
Which Washington cities have the most business analyst manager jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Bothell account for the largest share of business analyst manager openings in Washington. Seattle drives the majority of listings as home to major tech and healthcare employers, while Bellevue and Redmond reflect the dense concentration of Microsoft campuses and the broader Eastside technology corridor that has grown substantially over the past decade.
Are there remote business analyst manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business analyst manager work is largely desk-based and documentation-driven, making it well suited to distributed teams. About 45% of business analyst manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly technology and financial services employers in the state have adopted flexible arrangements. The portions of the role most commonly done remotely are requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and reporting.
How can I get hired as a business analyst manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a business analyst manager role from a senior individual-contributor analyst position within the same organization. Large Washington employers including Boeing, Providence Health, and state agencies regularly promote from within and post associate or project-level analyst roles that build the leadership exposure needed for management. Earning a CBAP or completing an Agile certification while working as a senior analyst strengthens a candidacy significantly, and internal program management or process improvement projects are the clearest way to demonstrate readiness without a formal title.
Where can I find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings updated regularly. Search for roles that match your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
