Business Analyst Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst manager in Texas?
Business analyst manager is not a state-licensed role in Texas, so there is no required Texas credential or board registration. The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field, followed by several years as a business analyst. Most Texas employers expect candidates to have led projects or mentored junior analysts before moving into a formal management role. Earning a CBAP credential or PMP certification strengthens candidacy considerably in this market.
How much do business analyst managers make in Texas?
Business analyst managers in Texas earn a median of about $101,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,730 for the lowest 10% to over $168,420 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business analyst managers in Texas?
Employers hiring business analyst managers in Texas right now include Align, CVS Health, and SRS Distribution, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's deep concentration of energy corporations, large financial institutions, and major healthcare systems means demand for this role stays consistent across industries year-round.
Which Texas cities have the most business analyst manager jobs?
Austin, Plano, and Dallas have the most business analyst manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston drive the largest share of listings because of their dense clusters of corporate headquarters in finance, energy, and healthcare, while Austin's expanding technology sector has added a fast-growing share of postings tied to software and product-focused organizations.
Are there remote business analyst manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business analyst manager work is primarily desk-based and communication-driven, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 33% of business analyst manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly Texas employers have adopted flexible models for this role. The most remote-friendly sub-areas tend to be agile coaching, data requirements management, and enterprise systems analysis.
How can I get hired as a business analyst manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a business analyst manager role from a senior individual-contributor analyst position at a large Texas employer, then taking on informal lead responsibilities before applying for management openings. Texas-based companies like USAA, Texas Instruments, and major health systems such as HCA Healthcare and Baylor Scott and White run analyst development programs that give analysts early exposure to project leadership. Building a portfolio of process improvement or data documentation work and earning a CBAP or PMP credential will accelerate the transition significantly.
