Business Analyst Manager Jobs in Illinois: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst manager in Illinois?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a business analyst manager in Illinois. The standard path begins with a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related discipline, followed by several years as a business analyst before moving into a management role. Illinois employers in financial services and healthcare frequently value the CBAP credential from the International Institute of Business Analysis or the PMI-PBA designation when considering candidates for management-level positions.
How much do business analyst managers make in Illinois?
Business analyst managers in Illinois earn a median of about $104,270 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $57,610 for the lowest 10% to over $175,360 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business analyst managers in Illinois?
Employers hiring business analyst managers in Illinois right now include Motorola Solutions, Northern Trust, and Covista, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Illinois's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major insurance carriers, and large health systems creates steady, recurring demand for this role across the state.
Which Illinois cities have the most business analyst manager jobs?
Chicago, Oak Brook, and Schaumburg have the most business analyst manager openings in Illinois. Chicago drives the bulk of demand through its dense concentration of financial services firms, consulting practices, and technology companies, while Naperville and Schaumburg attract openings from large corporate campuses and regional headquarters that have relocated to Chicago's western suburbs.
Are there remote business analyst manager jobs in Illinois?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business analyst manager work is desk-based and collaboration-heavy but not location-dependent, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 74% of business analyst manager openings tied to Illinois are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with strategy work and requirements gathering most commonly performed off-site while stakeholder workshops and team meetings more often require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a business analyst manager in Illinois with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a business analyst manager role from a senior individual-contributor position rather than applying cold. Illinois's large consulting firms and financial institutions, including companies headquartered in the Chicago metro, regularly hire associate business analysts and promote them into lead and manager roles within a few years. Building toward the CBAP credential and gaining exposure to Agile team leadership or project ownership in your current role are the qualifications that most visibly accelerate that move with Illinois employers.
Where can I find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Illinois?
You can find and apply to business analyst manager jobs in Illinois on Migrate Mate, which lists current Illinois openings. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and location preference, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
