Business Systems Analysis Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business systems analysis in Texas?
Most Texas employers expect a bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or a related discipline as the starting point. There is no state-issued license required to work as a business systems analyst in Texas, so candidates advance by earning recognized credentials such as the CBAP from the International Institute of Business Analysis or the PMI-PBA. Building hands-on experience with requirements documentation and enterprise software used heavily in Texas industries like energy and financial services strengthens candidacy significantly.
How much do business systems analysises make in Texas?
Business systems analysises in Texas earn a median of about $107,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,530 for the lowest 10% to over $168,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business systems analysiss in Texas?
Employers hiring business systems analysiss in Texas right now include CHRISTUS Health, Ryder System, and Photon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of financial institutions, energy firms, and large technology operations means demand is consistent and distributed across multiple major metros rather than confined to a single city.
Which Texas cities have the most business systems analysis jobs?
Dallas, Houston, and Austin account for the greatest concentration of business systems analysis openings in Texas. Dallas and Houston lead because of their dense clusters of financial services firms, energy companies, and Fortune 500 headquarters that run large IT and operations teams, while Austin's expanding technology sector has made it a growing source of analyst roles tied to software and product companies.
Are there remote business systems analysis jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Business systems analysis is a desk-based, documentation-heavy role that translates well to remote environments, making it more remote-friendly than most occupations. About 23% of business systems analysis openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how readily the core work of requirements gathering and stakeholder communication can happen through video and collaboration tools. Requirements work tied to on-site system implementations or regulated environments is most likely to remain in-person.
How can I get hired as a business systems analysis in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a closely adjacent role such as data analyst, project coordinator, or IT support specialist, where you already document processes or translate business needs. Large Texas employers in financial services and healthcare IT, including those anchored in Dallas and Houston, often bring on associate business analysts or junior systems analysts who work under senior staff. Earning the ECBA entry-level credential from the International Institute of Business Analysis and building a portfolio of documented process flows or use cases gives candidates without formal experience a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to business systems analysis jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to business systems analysis jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and other markets. Find roles that fit your experience and specialty and apply directly to the employer through each listing.
