Customer Insights Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer insights analyst in Texas?
Most customer insights analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, psychology, or business analytics. No state-issued license applies to this role in Texas. Employers here place strong weight on hands-on experience with data tools, so candidates who build a portfolio through coursework projects, internships at Texas consumer brands, or roles in adjacent research or marketing functions are most competitive. Certifications in analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Tableau add practical credibility.
How much do customer insights analysts make in Texas?
Customer insights analysts in Texas earn a median of about $72,520 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,640 for the lowest 10% to over $135,710 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire customer insights analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring customer insights analysts in Texas right now include Apple, Saputo, and Wingstop, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of major retail headquarters, regional banks, and healthcare systems means demand is consistent across industries rather than limited to one sector.
Which Texas cities have the most customer insights analyst jobs?
Dallas, Austin, and Houston account for the most customer insights analyst openings in Texas. Dallas and Austin draw the bulk of postings because of the dense clusters of corporate headquarters, technology firms, and financial services companies headquartered there, while Houston's energy, retail, and healthcare employers generate consistent demand for consumer research roles as well.
Are there remote customer insights analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Customer insights analysis is largely desk-based and data-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 50% of customer insights analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have adopted flexible work for research and analytics roles. Strategic and reporting functions tend to be the most remote-friendly, while roles requiring stakeholder workshops or in-person consumer research are more likely to require some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a customer insights analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior or associate research analyst role at a Texas-based consumer brand, retailer, or regional bank, where teams are large enough to onboard early-career candidates. H-E-B, Dell Technologies, and large Dallas-area financial institutions regularly bring on entry-level analysts through campus recruiting and internship pipelines. Candidates coming from adjacent roles in marketing coordination, survey research, or business intelligence have a strong lateral path. A portfolio demonstrating a completed consumer study or dashboard, even from a class project, gives you a clear edge over applicants without one.
Where can I find and apply to customer insights analyst jobs in Texas?
