Job Description Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Reports to IT Functional Leader and will have no direct reports.
Business Analyst role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users. This includes leading interviews with care site stakeholders and gathering and compiling complex user requirements to understand the technology solutions they need.
The Business Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the business make good technology decisions and is able to translate complex information into an easily digestible format.
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring IT’s understanding of business requirements.
Responsibilities And Duties:
- Promote a collaborative team environment and provide mentorship to junior-level analysts.
50% Requirements Gathering - Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Lead sessions to gather the business requirements with operational and clinical associates.
- Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend functional solutions and build high-quality requirements.
- Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
- Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
- Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
- Translate complex, conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Able to translate difficult information in a concise and easy to understand language.
- Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
- Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
20% Process Flow Design - Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.

20% Solution/Project Delivery - Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.
- Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
- Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
- Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.
- Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases.
10% Workshop Facilitation - Use a variety of techniques and leads workshops to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
- [3-5] years of experience in business analysis.
- Background in [relevant industries, functions, and/or technologies] is preferred.
- Professional certification in agile methodologies is preferred.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
General:
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Applications:
- Understanding of Application architectures.
Analytics:
- Understanding of SQL and data modeling.
- Experience in report and analytical requirements gathering.
