Who's Hiring

Buyer Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a buyer job in Seattle?
The strongest path into a buyer role in Seattle is targeting the city's major procurement hubs: large retailers headquartered along the I-5 corridor, aerospace and defense contractors near Boeing Field, and the dense cluster of tech and healthcare employers in South Lake Union and First Hill. Candidates with experience in supplier negotiations, ERP systems, or category management stand out. Tailoring your resume to the specific sector gives you a clear edge here.
Which companies hire buyers in Seattle?
Companies currently hiring buyers in Seattle include Clients Blackbox, TikTok, and Augmentis, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Seattle's employer mix ranges from global retail and consumer goods corporations to aerospace primes, regional hospital systems, and mid-size technology firms, all of which run active procurement teams.
Are there remote buyer jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the type of buying role. Indirect, corporate, and analytical procurement positions tend to allow remote or hybrid arrangements, while roles involving physical goods inspection, warehouse coordination, or vendor facility visits are typically on-site. About 100% of buyer openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with the highest remote share in technology and corporate services procurement.
How can I get a buyer job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Seattle is an assistant buyer or purchasing coordinator role, which large retailers and healthcare systems in the area hire at volume. Employers like regional grocery chains and hospital procurement departments frequently onboard candidates from logistics, customer service, or vendor support backgrounds. Building familiarity with inventory or ERP tools and completing a supply chain certificate from a Seattle community college strengthens your application considerably for these openings.
