Claims Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a claims analyst in Texas?
Most claims analyst roles in Texas require at least an associate degree, though a bachelor's in business, finance, or healthcare administration is increasingly preferred by larger employers. Texas does not require a state license to work as an in-house claims analyst, but adjusters who negotiate or settle claims independently must obtain a Texas All-Lines Adjuster License through the Texas Department of Insurance. Completing that exam and license strengthens your candidacy considerably even for salaried roles.
Which companies hire claims analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring claims analysts in Texas right now include Claims Services Group, AIG, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large concentration of insurance carriers, managed care organizations, and self-insured corporations makes it one of the most consistent states for claims analyst hiring year-round.
Which Texas cities have the most claims analyst jobs?
Westlake, Austin, and Dallas have the most claims analyst openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its outsized concentration of property and casualty insurers tied to the energy industry and the Texas Medical Center, while Dallas draws demand from major insurance carrier headquarters and healthcare payer operations, and San Antonio benefits from USAA's large home-office presence there.
Are there remote claims analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, because claims analysis is largely desk-based work involving document review, system entry, and phone or email contact rather than in-person inspection. About 27% of claims analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how well the role translates to distributed teams. Medical claims and commercial liability review positions tend to have the highest share of fully remote postings.
How can I get hired as a claims analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a claims examiner or claims processor trainee role, which large Texas insurers and healthcare payers use to onboard candidates without prior claims experience. USAA in San Antonio and UnitedHealth Group's Texas operations run structured entry-level claims associate programs that provide on-the-job training. Candidates moving laterally from customer service, medical billing, or paralegal work are competitive, and completing the Texas All-Lines Adjuster License exam before applying gives an immediate edge.
Where can I find and apply to claims analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to claims analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Texas employers. Search the available roles, find one that fits your experience level and preferred location or work arrangement, and apply directly to the employer.
