Client Advisor Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client advisor in Louisiana?
Most client advisor roles in Louisiana require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, followed by obtaining any state-issued licenses relevant to the products you advise on. For roles involving insurance products, you must pass the Louisiana Department of Insurance licensing exam in Property and Casualty or Life and Health lines before advising clients. Wealth management and banking advisory positions typically expect additional credentials such as Series 6 or Series 7 securities licenses, obtained through FINRA-administered exams.
Which companies hire client advisors in Louisiana?
Louisiana client advisor roles are posted by JPMorganChase and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's strong banking, insurance, and wealth management sectors mean hiring is especially consistent among regional financial institutions and national firms with deep Gulf Coast footprints.
Which Louisiana cities have the most client advisor jobs?
New Orleans, Lake Charles, and Baton Rouge have the most client advisor openings in Louisiana. New Orleans leads as the state's commercial and financial center, drawing corporate headquarters and wealth management offices, while Baton Rouge benefits from state government activity, a large university population, and petrochemical industry wealth that fuels demand for personal and commercial client advisory services.
Are there remote client advisor jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since client advisors in Louisiana typically rely on in-person relationship building, especially in banking and wealth management. About 0% of client advisor openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a growing share of hybrid arrangements. Inside sales, customer success, and virtual financial advisory positions are the sub-roles most likely to offer fully remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a client advisor in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a personal banker or financial services representative role at a Louisiana regional bank such as Regions Bank or Hancock Whitney, which regularly hire candidates without prior advisory experience and provide on-the-job licensing support. Insurance agencies affiliated with companies like State Farm or Allstate throughout Louisiana also run associate programs for new producers. Earning a Property and Casualty or Life and Health license through the Louisiana Department of Insurance before applying gives candidates a meaningful edge over unlicensed applicants.
Where can I find and apply to client advisor jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to client advisor jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Louisiana openings across financial services, insurance, banking, and wealth management. Find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
