Entry Level Clinical Case Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level clinical case manager job?
Employers hiring at the entry level typically look for a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field, plus any hands-on experience from internships, practicum placements, or volunteer work in a clinical or community setting. Highlighting case documentation skills, knowledge of community resources, and any exposure to care coordination software gives candidates a clear edge when competing for first roles.
Which companies hire entry level clinical case managers?
Companies hiring entry level clinical case managers right now include DESC, University of Utah, and OhioHealth, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from hospitals, behavioral health agencies, community health centers, and managed care organizations that build their teams through new and junior candidates.
Are there remote entry level clinical case manager jobs?
Yes, though most clinical case manager roles at the entry level are on-site or hybrid given the hands-on nature of the work. About 14% of entry level clinical case manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated mainly in telephonic care management and insurance-based utilization review roles where client contact happens over phone or video.
Are these new grad clinical case manager jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior clinical case manager roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad friendly listing typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and counts internships, field placements, or a strong academic practicum toward the requirement, so candidates without a full work history can still apply with confidence.
Which industries hire the most entry level clinical case managers?
Entry Level clinical case manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring at this level because they rely on large, continuously rotating caseloads that create consistent demand for new and junior staff to support patient transitions, benefits coordination, and community referrals.
