Position Summary
Victory Training is seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and experienced Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Instructor to educate and prepare students for successful careers in the healthcare field. The instructor will provide classroom instruction, hands-on clinical skills training, and exam preparation to ensure students develop the knowledge and competencies necessary to succeed in the medical assisting profession.
A current, nationally recognized medical assisting certification is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction covering medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, infection control, patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, pharmacology, and other relevant medical assisting topics.
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations of clinical and administrative medical assisting skills.
- Prepare students for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) examination and other applicable certification requirements.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, quizzes, and examinations aligned with the program curriculum.
- Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support student success.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, grades, and required student documentation.
- Ensure classroom and laboratory activities follow applicable safety standards, infection prevention practices, and professional healthcare guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and appropriate patient-care standards.
- Support student engagement, retention, and successful completion of the training program.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical assisting practices, industry standards, and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active national certification in medical assisting, such as NHA CCMA, AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, or another nationally recognized medical assisting credential approved by Victory Training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical medical assisting procedures and responsibilities.
- Relevant healthcare experience in a clinical, outpatient, physician-office, or comparable healthcare setting.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to teach both theoretical concepts and hands-on clinical skills.
- Commitment to student success and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or precepting experience.
- Experience preparing students for national certification examinations.
- Associate degree or higher in medical assisting, healthcare, nursing, or a related field.
- Experience working with adult learners or career-training programs.
