Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 3x12 Days position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and care of septic and mechanically ventilated patients.

Details

• Adult Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting, 30 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders
• Uses Alaris pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV1000 equipment
• Uses Epic EMR
• 3x12 Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other patient care areas when home unit has low census

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Strong comprehensive assessment skills required
• Experience caring for septic patients required
• Experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• EKG testing required as part of the application process, with two attempts allowed

• Reports to 3 East in the Tower building and must park in designated employee parking areas
• Navy scrub color required; hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not permitted
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate
