Alma Women’s Health Collective is a women’s health-focused practice in Wellesley, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based care for women across the lifespan.

We believe that mental health is an essential part of women’s overall health. We are expanding our multidisciplinary team and are seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) with a strong interest in Women’s Health to provide evidence-based behavioral-health services in collaboration with our medical providers and clinical team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who enjoys collaborative care and wants to help develop a behavioral-health program specifically focused on the unique mental and emotional health needs of women.

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Clinician will provide assessment, brief evidence-based therapy, care coordination, patient education, and ongoing behavioral-health support.

The BHC will work closely with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide integrated, whole-person care. The position will incorporate principles of the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), measurement-based care, and evidence-based behavioral-health interventions.

The ideal candidate will have clinical experience as a therapist and a genuine interest in women’s mental health and women's healthcare.

• Stress and burnout
• Behavioral changes related to chronic illness
• Other mental-health concerns affecting women across the lifespan

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial behavioral-health assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Screen patients for common mental-health and substance-use concerns using validated screening tools.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide brief, evidence-based interventions.
• Utilize therapeutic approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and Problem-Solving Therapy as clinically appropriate.
• Provide psychoeducation and behavioral-health support.
• Monitor treatment response and clinical outcomes using measurement-based care.
• Provide patient follow-up through in-person visits, telephone, and secure telehealth.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral-health professionals, and other members of the care team.
• Participate in clinical consultation and communicate treatment recommendations to medical providers.
• Coordinate referrals and transitions to higher levels of behavioral-health care when clinically indicated.
• Address social needs and barriers to care, including transportation, housing, food insecurity, and access to community resources.
• Coordinate care with outside providers and other systems when appropriate and authorized.
• Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation.
• Utilize appropriate registries and tracking systems to monitor patient progress and engagement.
• Develop relapse-prevention and self-management plans with patients completing treatment.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, and all applicable professional and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s degree or higher in a mental-health-related field.
• Current, unrestricted Massachusetts clinical license in good standing.
• Clinical experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral-health services.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to provide care both in person and through secure telehealth.
• Commitment to patient-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of clinical experience as a therapist.
• Experience in integrated behavioral health, primary care, or collaborative care.
• Experience with measurement-based care and behavioral-health screening tools.
• Experience working with women's mental health.
• Background in perinatal mental health, reproductive health, fertility, pregnancy/postpartum care, menopause, trauma, or other areas of women's health.
• Experience collaborating with medical providers.

Schedule & Location

Full-time: approximately 40 hours per week

Typical schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with an hour lunch

Location: Wellesley, Massachusetts

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
