Soccer 5 is expanding to Greater Cincinnati with our newest state-of-the-art indoor facility in Reading, OH. Designed to serve players, families, teams, and local clubs, our facility features five premier 5v5 indoor turf fields built for year-round training, leagues, open play, youth academies, camps, and community events.
At Soccer 5, player technical development is central to what we do, but player experience and engagement drive everything. We believe that retention, parent trust, and community word-of-mouth naturally follow when kids fall in love with the game.
The Opportunity
We are looking for energetic, passionate Youth Soccer Coaches who love the game and want to deliver high-energy, positive soccer sessions on our premier small-sided turf fields. In this role, you will be on the turf running practices, building player confidence, and ensuring every child and parent has an exceptional experience that keeps them coming back.
Whether you’re introducing a young player to their first touch or helping an experienced youth player master quick-decision play on a 5v5 field, you will be a key representative of our coaching culture and community standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Session Delivery: Prepare and deliver dynamic soccer training sessions aligned with USSF Youth Guidelines and the Soccer 5 Academy (S5A) Curriculum.
- Positive & Safe Environment: Create an encouraging, safe, and organized environment where players feel confident to practice, take risks, and play.
- Engagement & Retention: Motivate players through engaging drills and small-sided games to maintain high session energy and strong player retention.
- Field Setup & Maintenance: Set up and break down training equipment, cones, and goals before and after each session.
- Communication & Community: Communicate clearly and proactively with players, parents, and fellow coaching staff to foster trust and long-term relationships.
- Player Development: Track player growth, provide constructive guidance, and help players develop both their technical skills and tactical decision-making.
- Session Operations: Take accurate attendance for assigned groups during every practice, clinic, or game day.
- Events & More: Assist with youth camps, and special facility events as scheduled/needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: USSF Coaching License (Grassroots or higher preferred).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Passion: Genuine love for soccer, youth coaching, and delivering top-tier customer and family service.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing, energetic, and approachable personality; comfortable interacting with both young athletes and their parents.
- Work Ethic: Strong organizational skills, personal initiative, and an eagerness to grow within the Soccer 5 organization.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the Reading, OH facility.
- Language: Bilingual fluency (English / Spanish) is a strong plus.
Schedule & Hours
- Weekdays: Monday – Friday, typically between 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Daytime hours offered during camps, special events, or private coaching sessions booked.
- Weekends: Saturdays and Sundays as dictated by academy programming, leagues, clinics, and tournament schedules.
- Hours: Part-time, roughly 10 to 20 hours per week.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
