Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Anatomy and Physiology, or related, or an alternative degree and a minimum of 18 credit hours in biology.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
· Previous teaching experience in higher education preferred
· Desire to engage students in vigorous academic dialogue
Position Responsibilities
· Teach all assigned classes and facilitates laboratory experiences, as scheduled
· Implement curriculum and provide suggestions for improvement
· Prepare materials, as needed, to complete didactic and lab activities
· Provide a classroom environment conducive to learning
· Uphold all OIAH policies and procedures
· Return homework, examinations, and student feedback in a timely manner
· Use appropriate assessment tools to measure student learning
· Submit and maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
· Submit all paperwork in a timely manner
· Identify and assess students who are in need of additional instruction to successfully complete the course objectives
· Maintain expertise and competence in the applicable field of study
· Attend meetings and functions as specified by administration
