Senior Level Commercial Account Executive Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level commercial account executive job?
Employers hiring at the senior level want candidates who have owned complex deal cycles end to end, expanded accounts strategically, and influenced cross-functional teams. Demonstrating a history of quota attainment on large or multi-stakeholder deals carries the most weight. Being able to speak clearly about how you coach junior reps or shape sales process, not just close, separates senior candidates from mid-level ones.
Which companies hire senior level commercial account executives?
Companies hiring senior level commercial account executives right now include USI Insurance Services, Travelers, and OutSystems, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to concentrate in high-growth technology companies, enterprise software firms, and established B2B organizations scaling their commercial sales teams.
Are there remote senior level commercial account executive jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid roles are widely available at the senior level. About 50% of senior level commercial account executive openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many employers have embraced flexible arrangements for experienced closers who manage their own pipelines and travel schedules independently.
What makes a commercial account executive role senior level?
Senior level commercial account executive roles are defined by scope and ownership. You are expected to manage a larger or more complex book of business, lead strategic account planning, and contribute to team direction by mentoring junior colleagues or shaping sales methodology. The difference from a mid-level role is less about title and more about how much independent judgment and organizational influence the position requires.
Which industries hire the most senior level commercial account executives?
Senior Level commercial account executive roles concentrate in Insurance, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive demand at the senior level because their sales cycles are longer, deal sizes are larger, and the relationships involved require experienced professionals who can navigate complex buying committees.
