INTRODUCTION
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Assistant Field Hockey Coach/Assistant Athletic Communications Director.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties for the Assistant Field Hockey position include assisting in all areas of coaching the field hockey team including, but not limited to, recruiting, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, and fund raising. The secondary duties for Assistant Athletic Communications Director will include writing and distributing press releases, writing post game stories, preparing game notes/programs, managing game-day statistic responsibilities, overseeing the athletic department’s social media outlets and supervising web video production. This position reports to the Head Field Hockey Coach and the Director of Athletic Communications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of NCAA and United East Conference rules and regulations.
- Experience in collegiate coaching is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel and work nights and weekends required.
- Ability to lift approximately thirty (30) pounds.
Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
COMPENSATION
The annual salary for this position is $44,327.
