ABOUT BAYA
Baya is a fast-moving Series B startup built by serial entrepreneurs backed by tier 1 VCs (Matrix and Maverick Silicon), and strategic investors (Intel Capital and Synopsys) with a vision to accelerate intelligent computing in the emerging chiplet era. We focus on software-driven, unified fabric solutions for single-die and multi-die systems, designing and licensing disruptive IP for use in semiconductor chips — alongside software development platforms that simplify the design process and reduce time to market for complex SoC and multi-chiplet systems. Our technology enables partners to innovate and deliver compelling solutions across datacenter, infrastructure, AI, automotive, and Edge IoT markets. We're looking for energetic, dedicated individuals who share our passion for enabling innovation and excellence in the semiconductor industry — people who want to empower game-changing products and services.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a driven and technically literate Marketing Communications Manager to drive and execute Baya's communications strategy across channels. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of product, sales, and brand — ideal for someone who understands the language of engineers and can translate complex semiconductor and chiplet concepts into compelling narratives for multiple audiences. You will own the messaging, content, and campaign execution that fuels our pipeline, builds category credibility, and accelerates design wins. You will work closely with Product, Applications Engineering, and Sales to produce materials that matter at every stage of the customer journey — from early ecosystem awareness through to licensing and silicon ramp. This role can be based in any of our hub locations — Santa Clara, Austin, Cambridge, or London — or fully remote, with occasional travel to customer sites, partner meetings, and industry events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy & Development:
- Support content roadmap: whitepapers, application notes, IP briefs, case studies, blog posts, and video scripts targeted at IC design engineers, SoC architects, FAEs, and procurement decision-makers
- Translate complex technical concepts — chiplet interconnect, fabric architecture, multi-die integration — into clear, differentiated messaging for both technical and executive audiences
- Collaborate with Applications and Product teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance across all materials
Campaigns & Demand Generation:
- Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned to IP product launches, partnership announcements, and trade show calendars
- Manage email marketing, LinkedIn, industry publications (e.g. EE Times, Semiconductor Engineering, IEEE Spectrum), and sponsored placements
- Track campaign performance across MQL and pipeline metrics; iterate rapidly based on results
Brand & PR:
- Manage relationships with industry analysts (e.g. Gartner, Omdia, Linley Group) and technical press; coordinate press releases and media briefings
- Develop and maintain Baya's brand voice and visual guidelines; ensure consistency across all customer-facing assets
- Support executive thought leadership and speaking submissions for key industry events (Hot Chips, OCP Summit, IEEE, DAC, CES, etc.)
Sales & Licensing Enablement:
- Produce and maintain sales collateral including pitch decks, IP licensing one-pagers, competitive battlecards, and FAE toolkits
- Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to tailor messaging for key verticals: datacenter, AI infrastructure, automotive, and Edge IoT
- Supporting conversion through the customer journey with announcements, targeted content and technical positioning
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- 8+ years of marketing communications experience, with at least 3 years in semiconductor, EDA, IP licensing, or adjacent deep tech
- Proven ability to write confidently about technical topics — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to earn the respect of one
- Strong track record managing integrated campaigns with measurable pipeline impact
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo or similar)
- Familiarity with MS Office suite, Email campaign tools (Mailchimp)
- Familiarity with AI-driven marketing skill sets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Comfortable working across time zones and collaborating with distributed teams
- Self-starters that are hands on and driven to move fast
Preferred
- Experience at a fabless semiconductor company, IP licensor (e.g. Arm, Cadence, Synopsys ecosystem), or EDA vendor
- Familiarity with the chiplet ecosystem: UCIe, CXL, die-to-die interfaces, and the broader disaggregated silicon trend
- Experience managing or mentoring junior marketing staff
- Fluency in a second language relevant to key markets
- Background or degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science — or demonstrable depth in semiconductor products (SoC, chiplet architectures, interconnect IP, ASIC, power ICs)
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary benchmarked to market (US and UK ranges available)
- Performance bonus tied to individual and company OKRs
- Equity / options package with 4-year vest and 1-year cliff
- Flexible working — remote-friendly with hub offices in Santa Clara, Austin, Cambridge, and London
- Budget for industry events, training, and professional development
- A lean, high-ownership environment where your work is visible and your voice matters

Communications Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a communications manager job in Austin?
Focus your search on Austin's tech sector around the Domain, state government agencies along Congress Avenue, and the city's growing healthcare and nonprofit ecosystems. Candidates who stand out in this market typically bring experience with digital and social media strategy, crisis communications, or public affairs. A portfolio showing Austin-relevant work, such as campaigns tied to local brand launches or civic initiatives, gives you a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire communications managers in Austin?
Companies currently hiring communications managers in Austin include Amazon Web Services, DoorDash, and Clients Blackbox, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's hiring mix tends to run from large tech and semiconductor firms to state agencies, regional healthcare networks, and fast-growing startups that need communications leadership early.
Are there remote communications manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, communications manager roles are well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements since most core work, such as writing, media relations, and campaign planning, happens at a desk rather than on-site. About 44% of communications manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the flexibility tech and professional-services employers here tend to offer. Content strategy and digital communications roles skew most remote, while government and healthcare positions more often require in-person presence.
How can I get a communications manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is through coordinator or specialist roles at the city's many startups, nonprofits, and state agencies, which often promote from within once you demonstrate results. Look for communications coordinator or public affairs assistant openings at UT Austin-affiliated organizations, Austin nonprofits like local advocacy groups, or early-stage tech companies that need communications help before they can budget for a senior hire. Building a portfolio with real Austin campaigns, even volunteer or freelance work tied to local events or causes, makes you immediately more competitive.
Which industries hire the most communications managers in Austin?
Austin communications manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Electronics & Hardware, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's identity as a tech hub and seat of state government creates parallel demand streams, with semiconductor and software companies needing product and corporate communications while state agencies and healthcare systems drive consistent public affairs hiring.
